About Emmy
A former teacher and now STP's Artistic Director, Emmy loves helping young actors grow in the art of acting through effective and God-honoring technique. She finds great joy in the collaborative process of working with students to apply acting concepts like given circumstances, high stakes objectives, and meaningful movement. Emmy has performed in or been on staff for over 25 musicals at STP over the past 15+ years, including playing "Helen" in Jane Eyre (June 2025) and "The Ghost of Christmas Past" in Scrooge (2023). She directed The Empress' New Clothes (2024) and assistant directed It's a Wonderful Life (2025) and A Price for Freedom (2026). In 2022, she earned a minor in music (voice) from Campbell University and has studied acting in various masterclasses with acting professionals in Raleigh and NYC. She continue to hone her own acting skills through local theater and film projects, and currently am working toward certification as a voice teacher through the Institute for Vocal Advancement.
