1.13 STP Devotion TTA Takeover – Miles Park

Hey guys! My name is Miles Park and I wanted to share a few things with you about what God has done in my life and how I’ve grown at STP. When I started STP, a lot was going on in my personal life: with my family, with me and my school. When I showed up to to rehearsals, I was so happy and relieved to be there with my friends and escape what was going on in my world. But the biggest ways God has used STP change my life are:

1. The TTA’s and friends that support and strengthen me.

2. The worship backstage before performances.

Let me tell you first-year students that this place is not just about theater. There is so much more. This place and these people have given me the strength and confidence to step out into the real world and work to make a difference for Christ. The people that surround you right now (especially your TTA’s) are here to love you and sharpen your life skills. But most importantly, your relationship with God.

Proverbs 27:17

As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.

The people here are some of the best people to do that with.

Next, I want to encourage you as you approach your show and performances. Take that worship time backstage and use it to draw close to God. It’s a huge blessing and opportunity that you won’t want to miss out on. For me personally, backstage STP worship is one of the most real and precious times I’ve had with God. Just sitting next to your fellow cast members and praising Him is something you won’t want to miss out on and you’ll remember the rest of your life.

Being with the STP community and worshipping together are the two primary things that have completely changed me, my spiritual life, and my relationship with God for the better. And I encourage you to take advantage of the blessings God has put all around you.
